The Fujairah Museum houses archaeological exhibits that were discovered during numerous excavations all over the emirate. Most of these were discovered within the last 15 years. The museum exhibits artifacts that cover the history period between sixth millennium B.C. to the end of the Islamic rule and beyond.
Fujairah Fort
Built in 1670, the Fujairah Fort is the oldest fort in the UAE and has served as a defense for the ruling family. Unfortunately, it got damaged in the early 20th century and was later renovated. The Fujairah Fort is made of a mud brick structure and has three major sections, halls, a square tower, and round towers.
The Heritage Village
The Heritage Village in Fujairah showcases the traditional way of life that includes traditional houses, cooking utensils, farming tools, and the Al Yazrah irrigation system that used bulls to irrigate fields. The Heritage Villages aims at instilling traditional values in modern residents and familiarizes tourists with the history of the UAE.
