Hertz in Brisbane Airport (BNE)

Brisbane Airport is the third busiest in Australia, serving Brisbane and South East Queensland. Although not as large as Melbourne or Sydney Airports in terms of passenger numbers, Brisbane Airport is the largest in Australia by sheer land size, sprawling over 2,700 hectares. Located around 15km from Brisbane City Centre, the airport is well placed for exploring the city or heading further afield towards the region’s amazing coastline.

Brisbane, South East Queensland, and the surrounding areas are a huge draw for travellers with a sense of adventure. This stunning part of Australia boasts some of the country’s most popular natural landscapes, including the Gold Coast, and what better way to explore this beautiful region than by hire car. Hertz Car Rental makes hiring a car a breeze, just pick-up your vehicle from the Hertz car park next to the airport and begin your intrepid Aussie adventure.

About the airport

Built in 1988, Brisbane Airport serves as a gateway to Brisbane, South East Queensland, and the surrounding areas, offering both domestic and international flights. The airport is an important hub for Virgin Austria, Qantas, and low-cost airline Jetstar.

Brisbane Airport consists of a domestic terminal, an international terminal and The Hawker Pacific Private Flight facility, which handles private flights. Both terminals consist of lounges, operated by airlines such as Qantas and Emirates, as well as retail space and all the facilities you’d expect from a large airport.

How to rent a car at Brisbane Airport

For domestic Hertz Car Rentals, the branch is located at the Hertz car park, which is on level 1 of the domestic terminal car park. The domestic terminal car park is a short walk from the terminal, along the skywalk, where you can take a lift down to level 1.

You must be at least 21 years of age to hire a car in Australia, and possess a valid driving licence that you have held for at least one year. There may by a Young Drivers Surcharge for drivers that under 25 years of age. For licences not in English, an International Driving Permit is required or, if travelling from China, a China Notarial Certificate (CNC).

Additional information:

If you fail to provide a valid flight number when collecting a car, the vehicle can be collected at DOMESTIC Terminal.
