Hertz in Nice Cote D'azure airport (NCE) |Hertz

Nice Côte d’Azur airport is the gateway to the French Riviera - popular with holidaymakers drawn to the sunshine and beautiful beaches. Over 12 million passengers passed through the hub’s facilities in 2015, heading to and from a variety of domestic and international destinations. Hiring a car is the best way to see French Riviera and really take your time as you tour it — letting you go at your own pace.

The Hertz Car Rental branch at Nice Côte d’Azur airport allows you to benefit from more than 90 years of experience in helping customers manage their journeys. You can even pre-book your vehicle in advance so that you can get on your way with no hassle, as soon as you land.

About the airport

Nice Côte d’Azur airport is one of the busiest airports in France and flights run to many destinations in France and across Europe as well as North Africa, North America and the Middle East. The airport has all of the amenities you would expect from a major air transport hub including shops, restaurants and bars.

There are two terminals, with the majority of airlines using Terminal 1 while Terminal 2 is predominantly used by Air France and EasyJet. A free shuttle bus runs at regular intervals between the two terminals, allowing passengers to move easily between them.

How to rent a car at Nice Côte d’Azur airport

Hertz branches are available in both terminals at Nice Côte d’Azur airport, open between 6.30am and midnight, daily, with after-hours drop off available. The pick up and drop off area is based at Terminal 2, and customers arriving at Terminal 1 can take advantage of the complimentary airport shuttle service.

To rent a car in France you must be a minimum of 25 years of age, although this can be reduced to 21 upon payment of a young driver’s surcharge. All drivers will need to be able to provide a full and valid driving licence and drivers not from the EU will also need to show an International Driving Permit (IDP). Domestic renters and drivers from EU countries will need to show either their passport or national identity card, while non-EU citizens should show their passport. Please have reservation details (where applicable) to hand) and bring your credit or debit card.

Additional information:

• Hertz can be found on the Arrivals concourse at both terminals.
• Passengers arriving at Terminal 1 should use the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 to reach the pick up and drop off locations.
• After disembarking the shuttle bus, Gold members should proceed directly to the Gold Service Counter to collect their keys.
