About the airport

The airport was built in 1932 and was used by the German Luftwaffe during the occupation. After France withdrew from the integrated military command of NATO, the US presence was wound down from 1967, and Orly International Airport quickly became the main airport serving Paris. It still handles most of France’s domestic traffic, and is the second busiest airport in the country. There are two separate terminals for passengers, South and West, and although there are integrated train, bus, and coach options for onward travel, a rental car is the preferred option for comfort and convenience. A variety of options are available for both business and leisure customers.

Orly International Airport has two terminals and does not deal with freight transports. The Orly International Hertz Car Rental branch is in located in the West terminal close to the Arrivals lounge.
