Hertz in Linate Airport (Lin)

Linate Airport is one of Italy’s largest airports, located just 8km from the center of the nearby city of Milan. Being so close to Milan, Linate Airport is predominantly used for short-haul international flights and domestic flights. Connected to the city by an excellent road system, the airport is convenient for exploring the undisputed Capital of Fashion by car.

For almost a century, Hertz Car Rental has been providing travelers and businessmen with quality cars. With over 7,700 branches in 145 countries, millions have used their vehicles to explore the local area. The Linate Airport branch of Hertz Car Rental is conveniently located at the airport, allowing you to pick up or drop off your hire car in Linate Airport quickly and conveniently.

About the Airport

Originally named ‘Airport Enrico Fornalini’, Linate Airport was built in the 1930s, when the neighboring Taliedo Airport found itself unable to cope with the growing demands of commercial traffic. However, since then, it has been completely rebuilt twice: once in the 1950s and once in the 1980s. It’s connected to Malpensa Airport by well-maintained highways, and the journey should take little more than 50 minutes.

Linate Airport has one terminal, which is used for both domestic and international flights. In addition to being connected to Malpensa Airport, it also offers easy access to northern Italy, courtesy of the ring road, which loops around the city of Milan. The airport has two runways and welcomes over 8million passengers through its doors each year. The Linate Airport branch of Hertz Car Rental is conveniently located a short walk from the Arrivals lounge.

How to Rent a Car at Linate Airport (LIN)

The Hertz Car Rental branch is open from 7.00am until midnight, seven days a week. There is a Chauffeur-drive service available for those who are unable to or would prefer not to drive themselves. While this cannot be booked online, you can choose this service through the Hertz Reservation Centre.

To rent a car at Linate Airport with Hertz Car Rental, you need to be a minimum of 25 years old. However, if you are paying a young driver’s surcharge, the age limit is reduced to 23 years of age. The age restrictions depend on the type of vehicle you wish to hire. In addition to a valid credit card, you’ll need a full UK driver’s license, which you must have held for at least a year. Carrying an International Drivers Licence isn’t mandatory, but is advisable.

To ensure that there’s no confusion surrounding your booking, ensure that you bring your Hertz Car Rental reservation confirmation number with you.
