King Khaled Airport - International Arrivals Terminal 1
Located just 21 miles from Riyadh, King Khalid International Airport is one of the busiest air transport hubs in the Emirates, with over 22,000 passengers passing through its four terminals in 2015. The airport is an important regional centre for the Saudi and Flynas airlines. It is perfectly located for getting straight in to the centre of Riyadh either for business or pleasure with Hertz Car Rental.
Hertz Car Rental has almost a century’s worth of experience in providing rental vehicles to a wide range of customers. Driving is the most flexible mode of transport for travellers flying in to King Khalid International Airport. Hertz Car Rental is located in the International Arrivals area of terminal 1, and represents the most convenient way to quickly rent a car for your trip to Riyadh and the surrounding region.
Built to meet the growing demands of Riyadh’s burgeoning population, King Khalid International Airport replaced the smaller Riyadh Airport, which was close to the city centre and is now a base for the Royal Saudi Air Force. It was opened in 1983 and NASA chose it as a second possible landing site for their Space Shuttle at the time.
The four passenger terminals, of which Terminal 4 is the most recent, are linked by buildings that include restaurants and cafés, airline offices, hotels and even government departments. High-ranking visitors to the kingdom are officially greeted at the separate Royal Terminal, or Royal Pavilion. This has open spaces, gardens and fountains, and connects directly with the airport mosque.
The Hertz Car Rental Branch is open 24 hours a day, Monday to Sunday, and you pick up your car directly from the airport after checking in at the desk in Terminal 1. The desk is open 24/7, so whatever time you arrive at the airport you’ll have quick and easy access to a Hertz rental car.
