No matter what type of trip you’re embarking on, hiring a car gives you the freedom to take things at your own pace, whether that’s simply getting to your hotel without relying on a coach transfer, or exploring the region’s stunning scenery at your leisure.
Hertz Car Rental has branches at Málaga airport so you can pick up your vehicle as soon as you’ve collected your luggage. You can choose to hire on the day or pre-book your car in advance so that you can just get on with enjoying your holiday.
Málaga airport is the fourth biggest international airport in Spain and handles flights to and from 121 destinations domestically and across Europe. In 2014 it saw 14.4million passengers travel through its facilities — a far cry from its beginnings when, in 1919, a bi-plane needing a place to land touched down on the plot that would eventually become the airport.
The airport currently has two terminals in use, Terminal 2 and Terminal 3, which are adjoining, enabling you to move easily from one to the other.
Hertz Car Rental has two branches at Málaga airport — one in each Terminal. If you arrive in Terminal 2, proceed through Baggage Claim and follow the signs to Floor -1 where you will find us. If you arrive in Terminal 3, Hertz Car Rental is on the Arrivals concourse, just after Baggage Claim. Branches are open from 7am until midnight, with out-of-hours services available.

Fans of vintage cars will love the Museo Automovilistico De Málaga, a motoring museum just 15 minutes from the airport. Their collection houses some of the most beautiful cars ever made, and they treat their vehicles as works of art. Málaga itself, of course, is known for being the birthplace of famed artist Pablo Picasso so culture vultures should flock there for its art museums and architectural sights.
