About the Airport

Beijing Capital Airport opened in 1958, with just one terminal used for charter flights and VIPs. A bigger version of Terminal One was opened in 1980, with capacity for up to a dozen aircraft. However, this quickly proved reached full capacity and Terminal Two was opened in 1999. Nine years later, Terminal Three was opened, in conjunction with the Beijing Olympics. Due to rising demand an auxiliary airport, in Daxing, was commissioned and is due to open in 2019. Flights will be split between the two.

Passengers will find the terminal buildings stocked with bars and restaurants, serving a variety of drinks, fast food from across the globe and authentic Chinese cuisine. As one of the most advanced airports in the world, Beijing Capital Airport has its own Entertainment Center, where passengers can treat themselves to a foot massage, beauty treatments, and a cup of tea in an exclusive art gallery.

The Beijing Capital Airport branch of Hertz Car Rental is located at Terminal Two, making car rental quick and convenient.
