About the airport

Paris Charles de Gaulle airport sprawls across three terminals, linked by the CDGVAL airport Métro line and there are also shuttles in operation between the different parts of Terminal 2. The newer Terminal 2G is separate from the rest of the airport, and a shuttle bus runs every 20 minutes to transport passengers.

Charles de Gaulle has four runways and hosts up to 1,350 aircraft a day, including those ran by Air France who are based at the airport. It has featured heavily in popular culture with the music video for U2’s ‘Beautiful Day’ being filmed there, as well as featuring in Hollywood films such as Private Benjamin and Rush Hour 3.

How to rent a car at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport

You must also be able to present your passport or, in the case of domestic renters, a national identity card plus your credit or debit card. • Cargo vans with a loading volume exceeding 3m3 need to be returned to terminal 2EF.
• If a valid flight number is not given at reservation, the vehicle will be at the Terminal 2D.
